Are you looking for a top-notch youth speaker in the education arena? Great news!

I’ve opened up a limited number of spots for partnerships and speaking engagements during the 2023-2024 academic year.

After 30 years of empowering girls and more than 20 years of speaking professionally to youth, educators, and caring adults, scaling my work is more important than ever during these unprecedented times when girls are collectively in crisis around the globe, their mental health is in jeopardy, and women’s and girls’ rights are becoming increasingly threatened.

This is why I have renewed my commitment to getting my empowering message into the hands of as many young women and girls who need encouragement (and caring adults) as possible by expanding my Teen Girl University™ virtual programming, online workshops, and trainings for parents, educators, speakers, coaches, caring adults, and leaders of girl-serving organizations.

I have limited availability for travel and in-person speaking, however, I will consider requests on a case-by-case basis, while taking current COVID guidelines into consideration.

A Note About My Speaking Fees

I am a master facilitator, transformational leadership coach, and one of the most highly requested speakers in the youth and education arena specializing in young women and adolescent girls. I charge a premium for my time that reflects my expertise, extensive experience, expenses, and the significant amount of time and energy I devote in order to deliver an exceptional experience. This requires considerable planning, preparation, and time away from my coaching and consulting practice.

I don’t post my speaking fees or offer quotes online because each presentation is highly personalized and customized based on the topic, amount of time and preparation required, travel, expenses, length of presentation(s), and other factors — including whether or not I will be dancing, stepping, and breaking out my pom poms to perform my extremely high-energy signature girl empowerment cheer that gets girls so inspired and excited that they jump out of their seats and join me on stage during my Pep Rally assemblies! 🙂

Professional Speaking Fee Ranges

If you’re unfamiliar with the speaking industry in the education market, here are some examples of common fee ranges (ballpark) for in-person speaking in US$, depending on a variety of factors, including the type and length of the presentation(s):

  • Inexperienced speakers typically charge under $500 (some may volunteer their services to get experience or exposure).
  • New speakers typically charge $1K-$2,500.
  • Emerging professional speakers command fees in the $2,500-$5K+ range.
  • Established professional speakers typically charge anywhere from $5K-$25K+.
  • Veteran professional speakers may charge top tier speaking fees ranging from $10K-$25K to $50K+

These are ballpark ranges based on my experience in the industry as a professional keynote speaker, trainer, and business mentor to aspiring and professional speakers. However, many speakers will speak for less than the above estimates.

Do You Have a Limited Budget?

Event planners want to bring in the best speakers, but if you have a limited budget, it may be challenging to afford the investment that is typically needed to hire an experienced speaker for your event. However, if my speaking fee exceeds your budget and you really want me to speak to your audience, I’m happy to help you explore some options!:

  1. Raise the Funds: I ran a grassroots nonprofit with a shoe-string budget for 15 years, so I understand budget constraints. That said, I’ve learned over the years that money is available for event planners who are resourceful. If you’re committed to booking me to speak, I am happy to provide suggestions to help your school, group, or organization raise funds. For starters, some have received grants or found corporate sponsors to cover my speaking fee. If you represent a group such as a sorority chapter or women’s organization that serves mothers and daughters, consider asking your members to contribute towards the investment of a speaker (also, see #4 below).
  2. Brainstorm Creative Ways to Make it Happen: If you already know that I am your top choice for a speaker, please present your request in a way that conveys a win-win opportunity that honors the value of sharing my one-of-a-kind brand of girl empowerment magic with your audience. If it’s the right fit, we may be able to brainstorm a creative way to make something special happen (i.e., virtual speaking, partnering with another school in your community, or an opportunity to invite your audience to enroll in my paid educational or coaching programs).
  3. Virtual Speaking: I receive more inquiries than I can accept, however, I value every speaking invitation, so I am thinking about new ways to share my message with more students and accommodate schools and organizations with smaller budgets. Please complete the form below and let me know your estimated budget and if you want to be considered for a virtual presentation if I am unable to speak in person at your event. Also, if you have any ideas, please share the details in the comments section. I would love to hear from you!
  4. Offer a Free Online Training for ParentsAlthough I am unable to accept pro-bono or significantly discounted speaking engagements, I am thinking about creating a free online training for parents of girls to help them better understand and support their daughters, so please let me know if you’re interested so I can add you to my waiting list.
  5. Hire an Aspiring or Emerging Speaker: If you’re shopping around for a speaker and looking for the cheapest option, I am probably not the best fit for you, but I may be able to suggest a colleague or another speaker that I have mentored through my A Heart for Girls™ Business Academy, depending on your requested topic and goals. However, in some cases, I may not be able to make a recommendation.

FYI, I am also working on some other creative options that may be available during the 2023-2024 academic year, so be sure to complete the form below to be added to the waiting list.

An Important Note About Who I Work With:

Ethics, social justice, public health, intersectionality, diversity, equity, inclusion, evidence-based comprehensive sexuality education for youth, and the philosophy of “do no harm” have been an important part of my work for decades. I only work with clients I can feel good about partnering with or being affiliated with publicly. I will not take on any projects that conflict with my work or have the potential to be harmful to others – especially girls, women, youth, people of color, LGBTQIA+ youth, or marginalized communities.

Occasionally, speaking appearances and partnerships that are misaligned with my mission and standards have slipped through my screening process, so I have added additional questions below to ensure that there is a mutual fit. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this form.
