Building on two decades of public health experience and training, she consults across the United States and provides program development and evaluation assistance to youth-serving organizations, nonprofits, educational institutions, and private corporations.\u00a0Dr. Carla specializes in developing cutting-edge programs for women, youth and girls and is widely recognized as a pioneer in developing effective strategies for incorporating media literacy and popular education in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1999, Dr. Carla has provided evaluation services and technical assistance to federally funded community-based organizations addressing the HIV\/AIDS and substance abuse treatment and prevention needs of people of color, women, and youth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Web Design &amp; Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Carla has completed extensive training in web design and web development at Emory University, where she earned an Advanced Web Design Certificate. She has experience creating web sites and creating graphics that appeal to women, girls, and teen audiences. She has developed social networking and membership sites for alumni groups, coaching communities, Greek letter organizations, youth, and other groups.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Carla is knowledgeable about online marketing and branding and\u00a0has completed coursework in Java Script, PHP\/My SQL, Ajax, and FLASH. \u00a0She is proficient in numerous web and graphic design software programs and scripting languages including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WordPress<\/li>\n<li>Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)<\/li>\n<li>Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)<\/li>\n<li>Dreamweaver<\/li>\n<li>Adobe Photoshop<\/li>\n<li>Adobe Illustrator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Note: Dr. Carla is not currently accepting new web design projects. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Carla is available for on-site visits and Skype\/telephone consulting.
