Campaign supporters are encouraged to give a &#8220;High Five&#8221; to girls in developing countries by donating $5 or more to provide girls with such basic needs as access to school supplies, clean water, life-saving health services, safety from violence and more.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Many American girls are disconnected from girls from different backgrounds living in their own cities, so I hope that this campaign is successful in encouraging girls to become more socially conscious and informed about important global issues that affect their female peers in the developing world.
